About the Contest
The Mx SF Leather is a new contest that held it’s inaugural contest in 2022. Come be a part of history and join the contestant class for the first year of this contest. Since this is the first year, our titleholder will get to be a part of designing the logo and patch for this contest. This is an awesome oportunity for those who identify with the Mx honorific.
Eligibility
Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of California.
Be 21 years of age or older.
Be sponsored by a San Francisco leather, kink, fetish/gear business, club or organization, or
Be an independent, reputable leather human from the community for at least a year.
Attend the Leather Alliance events listed in the attached Contestant Agreemen

Contest Components
Judging Method
The judges selected are prominent members within and outside the San Francisco leather/fetish/ kink community whom we feel best to embody the ideals and character traits we expect to see in our titleholder. Each represents a different portion of the local, national or international community; and exhibits the sense of citizenship, community, work ethic, and independent character that makes a strong titleholder.
Each Mx. SF Leather judge will score every contestant in each of the categories listed below up to a maximum number of points (designated in parenthesis). To form the final score for the interview category ONLY, a single average score from the three SF Bootblack judges will be added to the scores of each Mr. SF Leather and Mx SF Leather judge. Final category scores for each contestant will then be added together, and the individual with the highest total will be declared “Mx. San Francisco Leather 2022.”
Contestant Judging Categories
Interview in Street/Casual Wear (30 points):
Prior to the evening portions of the contest in an interview open to the public, the judging panel will judge each contestant on their ability to think on their feet, their knowledge of lifestyle-related issues and history, and how they respond to pointed questions asked of them.
Leather Image (20 points):
During the evening portion of the contest, contestants will be judged on their overall leather image while on stage. This will include formal wear when first introduced and bios are read, as well as the overall impression from the judges of the contestants’ “total” leather image throughout the contest. As such, this category is usually scored last. (This does not include what is worn during the meet and greet or the pre-judging interviews.)
On Stage Pop Question and Physique (20 points):
Each contestant will randomly select and answer pop questions submitted by the judges and emcees on stage. The appropriate dress for this section is your sexy best!
Presentation Skills (30 points):
Contestants will not only be judged on stage, but throughout the entire contest, including the continued grab bag “fantasy”, speech, and pop questions. Their overall character will be judged by how they carry and present themselves in ways that represent the ideal Mx. San Francisco Leather.
