SF Catalyst is your community-run social and educational space South of Market and is available to you or your organization to rent to host classes, play parties, meetings, and other events.

About SF Catalyst

Located at 1060 Folsom Street in San Francisco, SF Catalyst is comprised of 2500+ sq. ft. which includes a lobby, large main play space, a shower room, a loft, and two additional rooms upstairs suitable for meetings or play. The space is furnished with a variety of BDSM and kink equipment including St. Andrews crosses, spanking benches, bondage tables, a medical table, a large suspension frame, two chain hoists, slings, and more.

SF Catalyst is a project of the SF Bay Area Leather Alliance, a 501c3 non-profit
organization. We are completely run by volunteers.

Renting SF Catalyst

Hosting your next event begins with an email to, where one of our sales team members will help you through the process. We will get back to you within 72 hours. We have three pricing models to fit the needs of your event:

Flat Rent – You pay a fixed amount. The rental fee for SF Catalyst depends on the day and time of the rental. This is the most common pricing model our hosts use.

Income Split – You put down a small deposit. Then on the night of the event, the
door revenue you collect is split between you and SF Catalyst according to an agreed-upon split schedule (based on your desired date and time). This is popular among newer event hosts.

No Rent – You put down a small deposit. We give you a budget for expenses. SF
Catalyst receives all the revenue and reimburses you for the expenses and your
deposit. This option is for hosts who just want to throw a great party and aren’t
interested in making money.
