The Leatherman’s Journey – Making the Connection
Mr. San Francisco Leather 2011, Darren Bondy, started this series, which was continued by Jessie Vanciel, Mr San Francisco Leather 2012. For two years, they produced intimate learning experiences and shared dialogues about BDSM – for gay men, by gay men.
That tradition is preserved in many active community institutions today, including the Leathermen’s Discussion group and other Leather Alliance member organizations.
The materials below, and on the linked pages, are preserved here for historical reference.
Jessie and Darren have invited some of the great Leathermen of our times to come front and center to share their experience and wisdom with you. This limited special series provides a safe and comfortable space for Leathermen to gather and learn. Designed by nature to compliment what Leatherman’s Discussion Group (LDG) is already providing our community. Each session will led by a notable Leatherman who will share his knowledge, history, traditions and techniques while also facilitating active discussion among those attending.
Each of the fine men leading these sessions is an acknowledged treasure of the kinky world. Learning from these men while also sharing with each other will continue to enrich our local scene, honor our traditions (new and old) and ensure that the Gay Men of San Francisco have the best possible resources for kinky sex and the lifestyles that go along with it.
Come spend some time with these great men. Treat yourself to the wealth of their experience. Mingle with other men as interested in their Sexuality as you are in yours. Have a great time while being a part of something quite special that seeks to contribute to a healthy, vital and sustainable Men’s Leather community in San Francisco.
Darren’s personal statement:
We are blessed to live in San Francisco with such a vibrant kinky culture. I am honored to be able to acknowledge the men leading these sessions for who they are. It is an honor and privilege for me to be able to bring them directly to you. Your attendance is appreciated and it makes a difference.
