Join us for the Alden Spafford Progressive Leather Dinner on Saturday September 22nd, 2018.
The Progressive Dinner is held annually in memory of Alden Spafford, a dedicated organizer of this event prior to his passing. This is a social event to bring together leather community members in support of our businesses and to raise funds to support the annual Bay Area Leather Community Volunteer Holiday Party.
What is a progressive dinner? At each location you will enjoy a new course (soup, salad, entree, etc.) provided and served by members of our organizations and our board of directors. Vegetarian options will be available at each stop.
In addition to a tasty meal, you will enjoy a social event with kinky individuals in a casual environment, a tour of SOMA kink businesses, and an opportunity to learn about — and meet the members of — the Leather Alliance and its organizations.
Who was Alden Spafford? He was a long-time core volunteer with many Leather Community groups, including the InterClub Fund, the SF Leather Forum, and the Satyrs MC. Accordingly, funds raised by this event will support the annual Leather Alliance community volunteer party.
Our route this year will probably include:
- SF Catalyst
- The Center for Sex and Culture
- Wicked Grounds Kink Cafe
- Mr. S Leather
- Powerhouse Bar
- The San Francisco Eagle
- The Lone Star Saloon
A full schedule of courses and locations will be posted here soon, and tickets will also go on sale shortly. Tickets will be $25 in advance (no fee!) or $30 in person; tickets include all courses, commemorative pin, and one door-prize entry.
This event is for persons age 21+. Bar drinks are not included in the ticket price. Please support your community bars.
We encourage you to dress for the occasion: Kink, Fetish, Leather, Uniform, etc. Just be sure it is suitable for wearing on the street as we travel between locations!
If you’d like to volunteer for this or any other Leather Alliance project or event, email email@example.com. If you are a member of one of the Alliance organizations, we encourage you to talk to your group leaders about volunteering to prepare or serve food, and donating a door prize. If you have already decided what you are preparing and donating, please let us know your plans by signing up here and here. Thanks!
